Eligibility criteria:
Indian Idol is not only a singing competition but also performance have equal weightage. There are some eligibility criteria like age between 15 to 30 years. Documents for age proof and photograph is required.
Regional audition:
After registration in Indian idol through SMS, there is regional audition round in selected cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Varanasi, Kolkata, Lucknow and many more places. In regional audition about 100 contestants are selected for next level that is theatre round of Indian idol.
Theatre round:
100 selected contestants perform in group or individual as asked in theatre round. Out of 100 contestants 15 are selected for another level that is Piano round.
Piano round:
15 contestants are divided in three groups and each group perform in given week which is recorded as live. Out of these 15 contestants 10 are selected for final spectacular round. Wild card entry also occurs from these contestants.

Dates for Auditions:
1) Date for Kolkata Audition is 3rd March 2010.
2) Dates For Delhi Auditions are 9th and 10th March 2010.
3) Date for Indore Audition is 15th March 2010.
4) Date for Ahmebadad Audition is 19th March 2010.
5) Dates for Mumbai Auditions are 23rd and 24th March 2010.

RULES AND REGULATIONS Indian Idol 5 Auditions:
1. Only those individuals (the “Participant(s)”) who belong to the age group between
15 years to 30 years as on February 1, 2010 can participate in the Indian Idol 5
auditions (the “Auditions”). Participants, who are below 18 years on the date of
Auditions, must be accompanied by their natural/legal guardian.
2. Participant should not be under any contract which will prohibit him/her from
entering into any management contract/recording contract and/or merchandising
contract with Multi Screen Media Private Limited. Participant should not have
any criminal record nor be an undischarged insolvent or of an unsound mind. The
Indian Idol – 5 auditions will be held only in Hindi language. Participants will be
required to fill an application form at the venue of the Auditions.
3. Incomplete/unsigned applications or late entries shall not be considered for
participation.
4. All Participants must carry proof of age and identity such as birth certificate /
school leaving certificate / ration card / college ID/ driving
license/passport/voter’s ID/pan card for proof of age and identity along with 1
passport size photograph plus 1 full length and 1 frontal photograph. Participants
should be a citizen of Indian and of Indian origin. The top 30 finalists of previous
seasons of Indian Idol will not be allowed to participate in the Auditions this year. Registration number does not qualify as being shortlisted for auditions.
5. All decisions made by Multi Screen Media Private Limited in this matter will be
final and binding and no correspondence will be entertained on the same.
